Still I am existing in Varanasi. I have spent the last week or so either feeling a bit shitty in bed with the flu or feeling very high because I have met a girl who I, well, really fancy.
Yes, Randy Manatee continues. And yes, she's Israeli. And yes, she's special. But I can actually talk to this one. She has reminded me what it is to make a real connection with a woman. We can talk for hours, she speaks really good English. I don't have to dumb myself down. She loves books and music and films, she used to be a radio dj, she's interesting and funny. She's hot. She fancies me.
Ahh man. I know it's boring to read this shit, but what else can I write about. It's what is going on in my head. That and a lot of phlegm.
Anyway, it is already doomed I think because she leaves in a couple of days to Rajasthan to see her family for a couple of weeks. Of course, maybe I will see her later in my trip...but I dunno, we both travel alone. I guess these things are difficult but I don't feel like thinking about the future. I am in the moment no? And at the moment, I am happy and I will enjoy her, myself and my cold.
Woah, a quick look at Meta Critic has showed me that just about every band I ever liked has released an album recently. Belle and Sebastian seem to have done a good one, Bonnie Prince Billy and Tortoise did a weird one, Stereolab another one, Cat Power a good one, Eels a live one, Arab Strap, Mogwai, Prefuse 73, The Stokes even.
I have a lot to catch up on. What are Radiohead doing these days?
Oh and look at the Uavtape.co.uk site that I have linked. It is the work of James Ockelford who plans to release an album I made with my great mate Rob about five years ago under the name Cabinet.
Right, a boring post for an excitable man. Always the way.

Radiohead are playing in Edinburgh in August with support from Beck. Tickets went on sale last weekend and I snapped up 4 before they sold out; one's yours if you want it! :)
Fuck yeah.
