Happy Birthday to me

My two hundredth post! Hurrah!

Well, it's been wordy. It's been sarcastic. It's been horny and occasionally it's been informative. Here's to the four hundredth.

No, I'm not a television channel - I shouldn't give you a Rangy Manatee's greatest hits (though I'm sure you'd all secretly love it).

Currently I'm in Vashisht, a town near Manali. More splendid views of mountains from everywhere. Hot spring open swimming pools, beautiful wooden temples and a tourist vibe.

After a near fatal argument with Effie yesterday, plans for our joint England takeover have been put on hold. I.e. we nearly split up and we might not come together. But things are good now. Sometimes you just need to shake it up a bit huh.

Today I went to jam with Sonny, an American chap I met yesterday and there was also Alan, an Australian guy. Both have Indian parentage and both have sitars and tabla as well as classical guitars. Alan has an Israeli wife and a beautiful little son. Sonny seems to have a couple of Israeli girls following him around as well. We have something in common, us three. So yeah, we made a nice jam and plan to meet tonight to take over a restaurant.

Nothing else occurs to me at present. I plan to go eat a donut.

What do your Israeli girls think of the Israeli war crimes going on in Palestine and Lebanon?

As fame strikes, the least one could hope for would be an apolitical fan-club... but no such luck.

(I would suggest 'war crimes' might be a loaded phrase, non?)

Congratulations old beard on pressing 'publish post' two hundred times. Lesser men have fallen at fifty, one hundred, even 199... you're now a veteran of the scene. Bloglaysia now expects you to knit.

So, end of July, book me in for an evening of recommensure. You won't believe whats happened to etc and so on ad infinitum.

war crimes as a "loaded phrase"... yes, certainly i was in some sense transmitting opinion at the same time as asking a question. but it is not an opinion that israel is committing war crimes, it is a fact. my opinion was communicated only in that i chose not to ignore that fact.
