Just looked at the BBC website coverage of the earthquake. 30,000 dead? That is huge.

Just thought it best that I don't sound too self-consumed and jokey all the time, considering the fact that thousands of people in the country I'm in just perished. But, I guess that is the nature of travelling (or in my case, lounging around a foreign city), one is permanently cocooned and destined to seek thrills and please oneself. It would help if I could buy a British newspaper. There is an English language Indian paper so I can keep up to date...
